Membership Information

There are 4 classes of members -
1. Ordinary Member: Medical Practitioners with qualification in Allopathic medicine and registered with any of the state medical council of India and possessing a post graduate qualification(degree or diploma) in Dermatology, Venereology, and/or Leprology and who are engaged primarily in the the practise, teaching and or research in the speciality will be eligible for enrollment as ordinary members of the society. The duration of the ordinary membership will be for one year on payment of the prescribed subscription fees and is renewable forthwith. Membership fee is Rs.100/- per year.
2. Associate Member: Any Allopathic doctor who is not eligible for ordinary and life membership, but is interested or is engaged in the study of Dermatology, Venereology and/or leprology (Post graduate in Skin & STD) may be admitted as Associate members at the discretion of the executive committee of the Society.The assoc Membership will be for one year, and renewable forwith. Such members cannot contest for any elective posts nor will have any voting rights.Membership fee: Rs100/-per year.
3. Life Member: Any person eligible for ordinary membership on paying a lumpsum subscription amount at one time (fixed by the Society) will become a Life Member and will enjoy all the privileges of an ordinary member.Membership fee: Rs1000/-
4. Honorary Member: Eminent and outstanding Dermatologists, Venereologists and /or Leprologists with national and International reputation either of Indian or other origin may be enrolled as Honorary Members. He shall not be required to pay the annual subscription nor be eligible to vote or hold any office. To become the member of BDS kindly fill in the details given below & submit.
